Business Development Manager, Dumfries

Soltyre has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team work based at Dumfries branch.

Soltyre are an expanding independent tyre distributor with locations North and South of the border.

Our mission is to offer a complete, commercial tyre management to our nationwide client’s. This includes tyre maintenance, tyre supply and 24/7 rapid emergency assistance as well as dealing with the agricultural , plant and construction industries

About the BDM role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the driving the overall commercial performance of your area . You will be comfortable in a customer facing role; Our BDM ‘s are frequently involved in bidding/tendering for new business and conducting service reviews in partnership with our commercial team or branch managers.

As our BDM you will provide operational and sales leadership to our team

What we're looking for in our BDM:

As your team will often work remotely, you will be competent in managing a Sales portfolio.

Making the best use of your time to drive customer engagement, identify and address any skill/knowledge gaps within our team and identify future talent within our business and any new customers.

You will share Soltyre’s passion for engagement ensuring you and your team are best placed to build strong relationships across our depot network and the wider business.

You will have developed a strong understanding of the Tyre industry and/or managing a team of field-based colleagues.

Using your operational experience, you will be looking for a role that allows you a degree of autonomy in how you lead your team and drive the performance of your depot.

As a people leader within Soltyre you can be confident that you will have the full support of a range of industry leading functions including HR, Learning and Development to Key account managers to support you in delivering your depots strategy across your region.

You will be joining on a full time permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary with on target earnings based on revenue and profitability
